Our History

Mansfield Mission Center began in 1979 as Wesley Mission Center, a small clothing closet and food pantry in First Methodist Mansfield. Over the last 40 years, we have successfully expanded with the community to help thousands of individuals each year.

In 2013, we incorporated as a separate organization, Mansfield Mission Center, to allow us to serve the entire Mansfield ISD community, that includes portions of Arlington, Grand Prairie, Burleson, Kennedale, and Alvarado. Our Thrift Store continues to be a place for volunteers to serve while offering affordable goods to the community. The proceeds from the store provides revenue for our various programs. In 2015, we opened our free Clinic, which helps hundreds of uninsured individuals each year access life-changing healthcare and social services. Since 2023, we have partnered with YMCA Arlington-Mansfield to provide innovative health resources, including an expanded free Food Market and diabetes management classes, all under one roof.

Today, we continually adapt and scale programs to meet the needs of our growing community. Our growth has been possible through the generous support of our partners, including churches, corporate sponsors, grantors, and individual donors like you.

Not sure where to start?
That’s okay! We’re here to help.

It’s not always clear what type of support is required and that’s perfectly fine. Mansfield Mission Center is here to answer your questions, remove barriers and provide you with personalized guidance so that you have access to the programs and services you need.
