Our History
Founded by First Methodist Mansfield in 1979 as Wesley Mission Center, an independent 501(c)3 was formed in 2013. The organization changed its name in 2018 to Mansfield Mission Center. MMC serves thousands of residents each year made possible through the work of 20 employees and hundreds of volunteers. The revenue growth to support the work has been cultivated through intentional relationships with churches, individual donors, corporate sponsors, ongoing grant writing and thrift store revenue.
In 2021, MMC purchased a property in partnership with the YMCA Arlington-Mansfield with the goal of providing whole person health & wellbeing resources together. To keep pace with the city of Mansfield’s growth, MMC continues to scale programs and expand facilities to meet the communities increased need for our services.
